Presented every five years, Reconnect serves as a dynamic platform that bridges decades of creativity, honoring the unique journeys of º£½ÇÉçÇø alumni. Their artwork reflects the rich academic background and innovative spirit cultivated at the university, illustrating how these artists have forged their artistic careers and helped shape the contemporary art landscape.
Reconnect celebrates the creative journeys and artistic achievements of our graduates but also fosters a meaningful connection between former students and the current º£½ÇÉçÇø community. By showcasing these diverse perspectives and practices, Reconnect inspires a dialogue that transcends time, encouraging current students to envision their own artistic futures.
Reconnect 2025: º£½ÇÉçÇø Alumni Exhibition was juried by Rory Padeken, Vicki and Kent Logan Curator of Modern and Contemporary Art at Denver Art Museum, and organized by the Center for Visual Art. The artists range in graduation years from 1973-2024 and include:

Join CVA for an opening reception of Reconnect 2025: º£½ÇÉçÇø Alumni Exhibition. Help us celebrate the diverse artistry of graduates from º£½ÇÉçÇø. The exhibition highlights a multi-generational array of alumni whose artwork reflects the rich academic background and innovative spirit cultivated at the university, illustrating how these artists have forged their artistic careers and helped shape the contemporary art landscape. The evening begins with a reception from 6-8pm at CVA, followed by an after party with live music from º£½ÇÉçÇø students from 8-10pm at the º£½ÇÉçÇø Department of Music Kalamath Building. Free and open to all—reservations required.

Materializing Change

Contemporary art is an ever-evolving conversation that transcends time, identity, and material. Current º£½ÇÉçÇø art students are woven into this dialogue, navigating the intersection of student and emerging artist. Their work captures this moment of transition through an exploration of media as an evolving practice.
Curated by º£½ÇÉçÇø students Bridget Ebert and Alyssa Williams, Materializing Change features the work of Caroline Boyd, Fish, and Sadie Hughes. Presented in CVA’s 965 Project Gallery, a student-led space that provides immersive professional development opportunities to students interested in fine art curation and arts administration.
