When can I register for classes?

Once you have completed all of the steps for applying for an online program, you are ready to register for classes! Registration opens at different times depending on when you intend to start classes:

  • For Fall 鈥 Register beginning at end of March
  • For Summer 鈥 Register beginning at end of February
  • For Spring 鈥 Register beginning at end of October

To find online courses in the portal:

  • Pick the upcoming term you intend to take classes and click Submit.
  • The Search Criteria section will show next, where you can choose the Course Subject, Delivery Method, and use Advanced Search to specify undergraduate and graduate courses.
  • Under Delivery Method, you can select 鈥淎synchronous Online, Synchronous Online, Dual Mode Online, Hybrid Online, or Self-Paced Online鈥 to give you a complete list of all online course options.
  • The most common online course modalities are Asynchronous Online and Synchronous Online.聽
  • When you’re ready, you can click Submit and the portal will bring up a list of available courses you can take.

Tutorial to Search for Low Cost OER Classes

An OER course is a course provided by 海角社区 that has no cost or low cost (less than $40) for students in need of more financially accessible class options. When searching for new courses, you can look through the list of available courses in your search to find classes that have the “low cost” or “no cost” icons in the right-most column of the list. You can find more information about that process using the links provided below.

What type of online course options do you need?

Asynchronous courses are fully online and don’t require you to log in at a specific time. You can complete the work whenever it fits your schedule. You鈥檒l still have weekly deadlines for assignments and tests to help keep you on track. There are several additional kinds of class and you can explore all of the varieties of classes offered here.
