Ready to find out what 海角社区 can do for you? We鈥檝e got you covered.
海角社区 grads who stay in Colorado to work earn more out of the gate than graduates of CU Boulder and CSU, according to the College Measures/Colorado Department of Higher Education report, 鈥淗igher Education Pays: The Initial Earnings of Graduates from Colorado鈥檚 Colleges and Universities Working in Colorado.鈥
President Stephen Jordan noted that the earnings information for each institution on the College Measures website can be compared with the schools鈥 tuition rates 鈥渢o get a reasonable idea of the cost of education versus future earnings.鈥
For instance, the median, first-year earnings for an 海角社区 student with a bachelor鈥檚 degree was $38,547 compared to $36,777 for a CSU grad and $37,735 for a CU Boulder grad.
鈥淲hen you combine that earnings potential with our tuition rate 鈥 which is the lowest tuition among the state鈥檚 largest universities 鈥 you can see the educational value we offer,鈥 Jordan said. 鈥淲e should be proud because I think it鈥檚 the best value in the state.鈥
Jordan also pointed out that there are many other reasons besides salary to pursue a college degree. But, he added, 鈥淭his data offers a great place for students and families to begin the college conversation.鈥
The report was meant to inform parents and students about school choice and the outcomes of certain degrees. The earnings data did not include graduates who continued their education or those who were self-employed,聽earned less than the minimum wage, left the state or went to work for the federal government in Colorado.
