All tests should be scheduled through the new accommodations hub. This is the same hub used to request semester letters and schedule meetings with your coordinator:

1. Login using the same credentials as your student email.
2. On the left side of the screen, select 鈥淭est Booking.鈥�
3. Click 鈥渘ew booking request鈥� directly beneath the section for pending requests.
4. Follow the next three steps in order: select the appropriate class, choose a date, and select a start time.

• 鈥淧laza Building鈥� should be the only visible option on step three. Click to expand that list to see the available seats and start times.

5. After requesting your start time, a new dialog box appears. Review the day and time, but also confirm the following four items:
6. Input an test title. This does not need to be specific. 鈥淓xam 1鈥�, 鈥淢idterm鈥�, and 鈥淨uiz 3鈥� are all acceptable examples.
7. Confirm whether you are taking the test on the same day as your class. If you select no, a new box appears, and a brief explanation will be required to proceed.
8. Review the accommodations listed and uncheck any you do not need or don鈥檛 intend to use.
9. There is an additional information box at the end. While not required, this is a helpful space to tell us something important about the test (for example: 鈥淢y instructor told the class that a single note card is allowed鈥�). If there is nothing relevant, you can leave this box blank.
10. Click 鈥渟ubmit request鈥� and you鈥檙e done! You will see the appointment appear under your Pending Booking Requests. This is your direct confirmation that the appointment was received by our office.

The testing accommodations manager will review and approve your appointment if everything looks correct. It will then move from 鈥淧ending Booking Requests鈥� to 鈥淎pproved Booking Requests.鈥�

• All exam appointments must be scheduled at least three business days in advance. This does not include weekends. For example, a test to be taken on a Wednesday should be scheduled no later than the prior Friday afternoon.
• Students should schedule their test for the same day and time as the class. If your classes are back-to-back and extended time would cause you to be late to your next class, contact [email protected] for guidance.
• Students must request their semester accommodation letters prior to scheduling exam appointments. The option to schedule tests will not be visible in the hub until accommodation letters have been requested and sent out.
• Do not rely solely on verbal reminders from your professor to know when tests take place. Get in the habit of checking your syllabus and canvas announcements on a regular basis to keep track of test dates. This is especially helpful when scheduling in advance.
• If you will have regular weekly quizzes in a particular class, especially ones that take place at the beginning of the period, contact [email protected] to develop a plan to get them all scheduled.
• Use the same email listed above to ask any other questions about test scheduling. Please let us know if any visual or technical issues arise during the process. We鈥檙e here to help!

Checking-In

• Please avoid using perfumes, colognes, body sprays, or scented lotions on the day of your test.
• Please use the restroom if needed prior to checking-in to take an test.

• Arrive to the testing center at least 10 minutes before your scheduled exam time聽with the materials needed for taking the exam (pencils, calculator, scratch paper, scantron, etc.).聽The test end time will not be adjusted for a late arrival.
• Please bring a picture ID to check in for your test.
• All personal belongings (bags, book, notes, coats, etc.) must be stored in the lockers in the Testing Center check-in area.聽Cell phones, tablets, laptops, smart watches, etc. are not permitted in the testing rooms unless authorized prior to your exam as accommodations or previously confirmed in the proctoring instructions specified by your instructor. Otherwise, they must be turned off and stored in the locker. 海角社区 is not responsible for any missing personal belongings.
• Speak quietly in the check-in area and limit personal noise in the testing rooms.
• It is the student鈥檚 responsibility to ensure their test is for the right course and the correct exam/quiz number before starting the exam.
• Water can be brought into the testing rooms, but other beverages such as coffee, soda, and energy drinks are not allowed unless you have an approved access to food accommodation.

During the Test

• Students should review the entire test once they are seated to identify any possible questions and notify the proctor so that they may try to contact the professor right away.
• A proctor is available during your test and will be sitting outside the testing spaces using live feed cameras. These cameras are for proctoring purposes only.
• You are allowed to leave the Testing Center for bathroom breaks only. However, you must alert the proctor that you are leaving the area聽and聽when you return.聽Break time does not get added back to your total test time.
• Accessing your locker during the exam is NOT allowed unless otherwise permitted for accommodation purposes.
• Any suspected behavior that appears to be academic dishonesty will be questioned and reported to the professor immediately.
• If you encounter any disturbance in a test room, report it to the proctor immediately.聽

Completing a Test

• The student is responsible for monitoring their test time. All testing rooms have clocks. Stop writing and turn in your test when your allotted time is up.
• All exam materials used during the test, including any notes and scrap paper, must be given to the proctor.
• Remember to retrieve any belongings you placed in a locker and quietly exit the testing center.
