Bio
Dr. Daniel Moore is an Assistant Professor of Secondary Education and Secondary Education Licensure Program Coordinator at º£½ÇÉçÇø. He currently serves as the Chair of the Board of Trustees for Boulder Preparatory High School, a local charter school. Dan attended graduate school at the University of Colorado, Boulder where he completed a Ph.D. in Curriculum and Instruction Literacy Studies and in Teacher Learning, Research, and Practice. Prior to entering higher education, he taught Secondary English Language Arts. His research in teacher education looks deeply at innovative ways to better prepare teacher candidates to be justice-oriented educators. He also conducts research in adolescent literacy by documenting the literacy assets of youth in recovery from addictions, and researches literacy-oriented responses to school and cultural violence.
