Bio
Heidi Burke is a professor at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Her primary area of expertise is early childhood intervention (birth to age 8), which she developed through her clinical practice working in Part C early intervention and owning a private practice. One of her areas of scholarly interest is interprofessional collaborative practice (IPC) and education as IPC is a critical component of working in early intervention and other settings. Professor Burke is a PhD Candidate in the Inclusive Early Childhood Education program at the University of Colorado Denver, holds an MA in Speech-Language Pathology from the University of Colorado at Boulder, as well as an MS in Management and a BSBA in Management and Statistics from the University of Denver. She is a licensed speech-language pathologist in Colorado and clinically certified by the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
