I hold dual degrees (MHA/MBA), a certification in healthcare quality (CPHQ), and an Executive Leadership Certification from Harvard University.

Over the years, I have taught courses in the U.S. Health Care System, Health Care Management, Population Management, Human Resource Management in Health Care, Strategic Management, Hospital Operations. Entrepreneurship in Health Care, Health Care Finance, and more.

My professional experience in health care spans the continuum from the post-acute setting (Home Health, Skilled Nursing) to Acute Care (Behavioral Health, Population Management, Quality Management, Behavioral Health, and Operations). My most recent positions held include Chief Operating Officer (COO) of a large medical center in California and as Statewide Executive Director of Population and Quality Management in Colorado. As a professor, my goal is not only to successfully guide you through your academics but to bring the healthcare community ‘to life’ by sharing my professional experiences over the past 20+ years. Healthcare is such a meaningful profession. The goal for you is to find your place, your passion, and your inspiration. It is my goal to help you do just that.
