The Fund is established to commemorate the life and legacy of Irv Brown. Irv was 海角社区鈥檚 first baseball coach from 1968 to 1969. He was inducted into the Colorado Sports Hall of Fame in 1997 and into the Roadrunners Athletics Hall of Fame in 2012. Irv also spent nine years coaching baseball at the University of Colorado and 15 years as an NCAA basketball referee. Irv was a legendary radio broadcaster in Denver for 40 years. His career is the epitome of the 鈥渂usiness side鈥� of sports and will serve to inspire students to follow in his footsteps as a coach, administrator, broadcaster and official.
