Over 1,500 donors come together to raise more than $269,000

Athletics and DACA programs highlight the top Day of Giving fundraising efforts, bringing in almost $120,000 combined.
Thank you to everyone who took up the torch to light the flame of giving and helped the University surpass its goal of 1,400 donors during the eighth annual Metropolitan State University of Denver Day of Giving!
This year, 1,531 donors raised over $269,000, providing Roadrunners with access to top-tier academic and athletic experiences, scholarships, state-of-the-art learning facilities, meaningful wraparound services and campus programs that prepare them for success before and after graduation.
鈥淓ach year, the 海角社区 community does an amazing job of showing up to support current and future Roadrunners on Day of Giving 鈥� we are so grateful,鈥� said Bre Milnes, executive director of Advancement Communications and Annual Giving.
Fundraising highlights
raised $98,450 across its teams to help reduce the cost of equipment, travel, uniforms, participating in competitions and more.
鈥淭he 海角社区 Day of Giving, and the Athletics Giving Challenge, was once again an outstanding success,鈥� said Todd Thurman, director of Roadrunners Athletics. 鈥淚 can鈥檛 thank everyone who contributed enough. Our sports combined for over 850 donors and raised almost $100,000. These fundraising efforts are vital to the success of Roadrunners Athletics.鈥�

- 罢丑别听聽raised $2,300 to help reduce costs for students and community members seeking treatment.
- 罢丑别听聽raised $2,500 to provide LSAT prep courses to students at no cost.
- 罢丑别听聽raised over $20,000 to nurture the dreams and career aspirations of DACA and undocumented 海角社区 students seeking careers in health and behavioral鈥揾ealth fields.
