Preparing Roadrunners for service

Hal Haddon, Esq., and Beverly Haddon make planned gift to the 海角社区 Institute for Public Service.
Metropolitan State University of Denver鈥檚 Institute for Public Service has received a transformative gift to empower the next generation of public service leaders.
The planned gift from Hal Haddon, Esq., and his wife, Beverly Haddon, provides 海角社区 students with career development, innovative experiential learning opportunities and pioneering curricular programs, inspiring and preparing them for a life of service. Hal served on the board, which merged its programs with the University in 2022.
Led by Inaugural Director , a 2013 alumnus, the institute is a hub for civic engagement, emphasizing careers in government and the non-profit sector. 鈥淢y hope is for the Institute for Public Service to provide the opportunity for this generation of students to live their values,鈥� he said.
鈥淪pending the summer as a paid intern in Washington, D.C., was an amazing opportunity to learn about social work policy in the place where our nation鈥檚 policies are enacted. Being surrounded by people who are passionate about what鈥痶hey do was inspiring. Now, I鈥檓 even more pumped to get into policy work!鈥�
