The Student Employment Program at Metropolitan State University of DenverÌý provides students paid jobs to help alleviate some financial needs they may have while attending university. In addition to receiving a paycheck, student employees receive on-the-job training, professional development, and will develop leadership skills, all while building professional relationships. StudentÌý·¡³¾±è±ô´Ç²â±ð±ð²õ are considered valuable employees of º£½ÇÉçÇø and are able use their skills and talents to contribute to the success of the University.

Are you eligible for student employment?

• Students should be at least 18 years of age to be considered for student employment.
  • Students under the age of 18 who are interested in working for the University should contact Human Resources. Ìý
• Students are required to be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours for each semester – fall and spring, unless it is the last semester before the student graduates.
  • International students must be enrolled for at least 12 credit hours per semester (with the exception of the summer term).
• Students must also maintain a semester GPA of at least 2.0 to remain in the student employment program.

Summer Employment

• For summer employment: Work-Study Students must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours to receive a work-study award.
  • Hourly Student Employees are not required to be enrolled in summer classes if they enrolled for the fall semester.
  • However, if student employees are not enrolled in at least 6 credit hours, they will be enrolled in the Student Employee Retirement Plan (SERP) administered by TIAA.Ìý

Please note: There are some additional requirements for graduating students, international students or students in a graduate program.

Here you will find the different student employment opportunities available, including work-study, student hourly, internships and other opportunities for work-study jobs outside of º£½ÇÉçÇø, at an authorized agency (CU Denver, Community College of Denver and more).
