The online Philosophy B.A. at º£½ÇÉçÇø is structured around six areas: logic, history of philosophy, knowledge and reality, value, diverse perspectives, and historical figures and movements. You’ll work through ancient Greek and Roman thought, classical Chinese philosophy, medieval and early modern traditions, and contemporary questions about AI ethics, environmental ethics, and how we form beliefs in a digital age.
The department also runs the Denver Project for Humanistic Inquiry, which brings students into conversations with scholars and cultural institutions across the city.
You’re learning from philosophers who publish in the journals that shape their fields. Department Chair Caleb Cohoe writes on ancient and medieval philosophy and has presented at Oxford and Notre Dame. Brian Hutchinson authored a Cambridge University Press book on G.E. Moore. Liz Goodnick publishes on Hume, philosophy of religion, and early modern women philosophers. Adam Graves founded the Denver Project for Humanistic Inquiry. James Reid holds a National Endowment for the Humanities grant for his Heidegger translation work.
