Why Earn Your RN to BSN Online at º£½ÇÉçÇø?

The Online RN to BSN, also called BRNCO at º£½ÇÉçÇø, is a Bachelor of Science in Nursing completion program for licensed registered nurses and eligible dual-enrollment ADN students. It is built for nurses who want to keep working while they complete a BSN and strengthen the skills that support patient care, leadership, community health, and evidence-based practice.

You bring your RN preparation and experience. º£½ÇÉçÇø helps you build on that foundation with online coursework focused on advanced nursing practice, health assessment, research, ethics, informatics, leadership, and population health. You can apply what you learn to the work you are already doing, while preparing for nursing roles that may call for broader clinical judgment, stronger coordination, and a deeper understanding of health systems.

Faculty Who Bring Nursing Practice Into Your Online Classes

Katrina Little, Ph.D., R.N., assistant professor in the Department of Nursing at º£½ÇÉçÇø.

Online RN to BSN students learn from º£½ÇÉçÇø Nursing faculty who are connected to the field through clinical practice, research, leadership, ethics, community health, and professional nursing education. You are learning online, but you are still learning from faculty rooted in º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Department of Nursing.

Katrina Little, Ph.D., R.N., is one example. She teaches obstetrics and population and community health nursing, drawing on 21 years as a registered nurse, including 14 years in inpatient obstetrics across Texas, California, and Colorado. At º£½ÇÉçÇø, she launched the international clinical pathway with Manna Mission Hospital in Ghana, and she serves as Tri-Chair for the Raise Colorado Infant Maternal Mortality Policy Workgroup. Her teaching and research focus on health disparities in maternal-newborn care and on preparing nurses to work across the full range of communities they serve.

The RN-BSN Program Is for People Who Are Already Nurses

This program is for licensed registered nurses and eligible students who are dual enrolled in an Associate Degree in Nursing program. If you already have your RN license, or you are completing an eligible ADN program and want to begin BSN coursework, the Online RN to BSN can help you keep moving toward your bachelor’s degree.

If you are not already an RN or enrolled in an eligible ADN program, this is not the right nursing path. The Online RN to BSN is a completion program. It does not prepare first-time nursing students for RN licensure.

º£½ÇÉçÇø’s on-campus nursing programs offer several pathways to becoming a registered nurse, whether you’re starting from scratch, coming in with a prior degree, or transferring from another program. Once you have your RN license, the Online RN to BSN is ready when you are.

What You’ll Learn in the Online RN to BSN Program

In the Online RN to BSN program, you build on the nursing knowledge and experience you already have. Coursework helps you move from RN preparation into BSN-level practice, with a focus on leadership, evidence-based care, community and population health, ethics, informatics, and the systems that shape patient outcomes.

Advanced Nursing Practice

Strengthen your professional nursing judgment as you study health assessment, role transition, clinical reasoning, and the responsibilities of baccalaureate-prepared nurses.

Evidence-Based Practice and Research

Learn how to use nursing research, data, and evidence-based practice to ask better questions, evaluate care decisions, and support quality improvement.

Community and Population Health

Study health beyond the bedside, including the needs of families, communities, and populations. Coursework helps you connect individual patient care to broader public health and health equity concerns.

Leadership, Ethics, and Professional Practice

Build skills for communication, coordination, ethical decision-making, and leadership in nursing teams and health care settings.

Informatics and Health Systems

Explore how technology, documentation, information systems, and health care structures affect nursing practice, patient care, and team communication.

Applying BSN-Level Learning at Work

Because this program is built for licensed RNs and eligible dual-enrollment ADN students, your coursework connects back to real nursing practice. You can apply what you are learning to the patients, teams, policies, and systems you already work with.

How Can a BSN Change Your Career?

Career Paths With an RN to BSN

The Online RN to BSN is designed for nurses who are already licensed and want to build on their RN preparation. A BSN can help you prepare for roles that ask nurses to coordinate care, support teams, understand health systems, use evidence in practice, and contribute to patient and community outcomes.

Depending on your experience, workplace, and goals, an RN to BSN can support movement toward nursing responsibilities such as:

  • Charge nurse or team lead
  • Care coordinator
  • Community health nurse
  • Public health nurse
  • Clinical nurse educator
  • Quality improvement or patient safety support
  • Case management
  • Nursing leadership roles in hospitals, clinics, and health systems

Many nurses pursue a BSN because their work is already expanding beyond direct bedside care. The degree can help you strengthen the leadership, ethics, population health, informatics, and evidence-based practice skills that support broader nursing responsibilities.
