罢丑别听 (D-phi) aims to enrich Denver鈥檚 intellectual and cultural life through programs designed to reframe our perspectives, challenge our assumptions, and stimulate dialogue about human thought, history, science, art and culture. D-phi organizes roundtable discussions, art exhibits, film screenings, theatrical performances, and lectures centered on major themes, issues or questions of abiding human concern. We host both local and international experts, artists, and some of the ‘greatest minds of our time’.

Outreach Programs
The Health Center at Auraria has a variety of offerings through different Outreach Programs that extend beyond the and . Programs are available to all AHEC, CCD, 海角社区 and CU Denver students, faculty and staff which are offered at no charge. The programs enhance many aspects of wellness, allowing an individual to manage school and everyday life while also learning new skills to promote overall wellbeing.
Through our campus interactive and students can drop in to learn about trending health topics. In addition, each institution has access to their own health blog, for current wellness information. You can also take a Pilates, Yoga or Zumba class through the Mind Body Fitness classes.
Faculty, staff and student organizations can also request a tailored to specific health subjects.

As part of the Healthy Pursuits program, Mind Body Fitness classes may consist of Yoga, Zumba and Pilates. These classes aim to support your health through a connection from the inside out. The goal of the classes is to enable students, faculty and staff of the Auraria Campus to lead a healthier and less stressful lifestyle. Lunch Buddies (circa June 2019) was designed to connect people around campus who may not interact on a regular basis. We’re all here to do our part and can function more effectively when relationships (both professional and personal) are established and a better understanding can be made across departments. Program highlights include:
- Low commitment, high impact
- Expand campus network & collaboration opportunities
- Mentor (or get mentored)
- Learn about the campus, departments and cool things around the Denver Metro area
LOGISTICS
Participants can opt-in monthly (feel free to skip months as needed) to be paired with a buddy from another department. Buddies will choose a day & time to e-meet, with an open agenda. When this program was on campus the intention was to meet over a meal, but since it鈥檒l be virtual (for now), the meal portion is optional — though you are encouraged to break for lunch daily. During your 鈥淏uddy Lunch鈥� usually work is brought up where each buddy talks about their path to 海角社区, department and role; but it’s even better when a personal connection can be made. Either way, this program will help bond our campus community over information sharing and storytelling. You will be paired with a new buddy each month you opt-in, but you’re encouraged to maintain relationships with past buddies as you see fit.

The Health Center at Auraria offers free nutrition consultations with Registered Dietitian Nutritionists (RDN).聽The RDNs can support you, provide recommendations, and answer your questions whether you are trying to manage a chronic condition, lose or gain weight, optimize athletic performance or develop a personalized healthy eating routine.
What to Expect
We are a judgment聽free 鈥渮one鈥� and we are dedicated to supporting and collaborating with you. The first appointment may be up to one hour in length, with follow-up visits being shorter. Before the first visit, you will be asked to complete聽a nutrition goals form. During the visit you鈥檒l meet with the RDN and, with your consent, a nutrition student intern. After the visit, you鈥檒l be asked to complete聽an evaluation form.
During most appointments a student intern will be in the appointment and, if you are interested, will聽contact you for continued support. After your initial appointment an action plan will be recommended including dietary information and recommendations for free follow-up visits.

The Queer Faculty & Staff Collective is open to all 海角社区 faculty and professional staff who identify as LGBTQ. The group was formed to enhance community and support for LGBTQ professionals on campus through social/networking events, advocacy, and resource sharing.

Become a lifetime member of the聽海角社区 Road Riders Bike Club and join fellow cycling enthusiasts while helping fellow Roadrunners achieve their academic dreams. All proceeds will benefit the聽Student Emergency Fund聽and support students who are facing聽unexpected financial hardships while pursuing their degree.
The 海角社区 Staff Senate represents all classified, administrative and student staff within the University鈥檚 shared governance system. The 海角社区 Staff Senate fosters community and collaboration among all 海角社区 Staff by:
- promoting inclusive leadership
- providing a forum for issue-based and solution-focused dialogue
- discussing issues that affect university staff
- advancing institutional priorities
- promoting employee welfare
- sharing ideas
- providing professional development opportunities
- recognizing achievements
- creating a sense of community among staff members
University staff can visit the public to access important information, including the Meeting and Events calendar, meeting agendas and minutes, governing documents and news. Permission to join the site is not required. for instructions on how you can follow the Staff Senate SharePoint site and add meeting/event dates to your calendar. We will continue to update the SharePoint and streamline communication to ensure transparency and accessibility of relevant information.
Program History, Mission and Goals
The 海角社区 Family Literacy Program (FLP) began in 1994. The mission of FLP is 鈥渢o meet the literacy needs of metropolitan Denver鈥檚 lower-income families.鈥� The program works to break the cycle of poverty and low literacy by providing intergenerational, unified family literacy services for those most vulnerable families. FLP partners with many agencies including Westminster Public Schools, Adams County School Districts 12 and 14, the Denver Housing Authority (DHA), and the National Center for Families Learning (NCFL鈥攆ormerly, the National Center for Family Literacy) to provide services that: 1) assist children in reaching their full potential as learners; 2) educate and engage parents in becoming full partners in the education of their children; and 3) help parents improve their literacy or basic educational skills to attain a post-secondary education and/or employment.
Current Programs
The very nature of family literacy programs is to provide intergenerational educational services to families with the idea that educated adults can profoundly influence the academic achievement of children. Many studies support the notion that parent education and involvement impact students鈥� success in school. These services are provided free of cost in the participants鈥� neighborhoods. FLP offers four major program delivery strategies: the home-based Parents as Teachers (PAT), the school-based Families Learning Together–which includes adult English as a Second Language classes and a center-based early childhood preschool program, English and Spanish-language GED classes, as well as a Parent-to-Paraprofessional training program.
The Young Professionals Group is a community for full-time staff members 35 years old and younger. The group meets bi-monthly, for either virtual professional development conversations or on-campus social activities. Join us to grow your network, get support transitioning into the world of work and share resources for early career exploration and growth.

Accessing the proper tools and support can increase your chances to become tobacco free. The Tobacco Cessation program is designed to tailor a program to your individual lifestyle and needs. If you have ever considered eliminating the use of tobacco in your life, now is the time to take advantage of this exclusive Auraria Campus service.
Combined with support coach services, tobacco cessation medications improve your chances of successfully eliminating tobacco usage. The Health Center at Auraria will pay for 100% of the cost of a medication for up to a three month supply, according to appropriate medical usage guidelines.

The Roadrunners Who Soar Awards ceremony, held each spring, is the University鈥檚 pinnacle recognition event. It honors employees from across the University for their contributions throughout the academic year, specifically those high-performing employees who positively impact student and employee success and model the University鈥檚 CADRE values: Community, Access, Diversity, Respect, Excellence.
Faculty Tenure & Promotion Celebration
Established in 2010 by Vicki L. Golich, Ph.D. (Provost 2009 鈥� 2020), the Faculty Tenure & Promotion Celebration, which is held annually in the Fall, recognizes faculty who have recently achieved promotion and/or tenure at 海角社区. These faculty members and their families, as well as their colleagues, are invited to an evening of celebration for this achievement.
