A message from President Janine Davidson, Ph.D., in support of recent disaster victims

Dec. 31, 2021
Dear Roadrunners,ÌýÌý
Once again, our community has been inflicted with disaster and tragedy, leaving us heartbroken as we embark upon a New Year. Hundreds of homes, businesses and community pillars have been lost and thousands of Coloradans impacted by the Marshall and Middlefork Fires including many º£½ÇÉçÇø students, faculty and staff. This, on top of the senseless gun violence that cut all too short the lives of alumna and former students.ÌýÌý
For Roadrunners who have been directly impacted, we are here for you. Please reviewÌýavailable resources and campus support servicesÌýand reach out to your manager or Human Resources with any questions or needs. Students may apply for relief through theÌýStudent Emergency FundÌýand impacted employees can connect directly with AVP Human Resources, Stacy Dvergsdal atÌý[email protected].ÌýÌý
In times like theseÌýit'sÌýimportant that we stand together as resilient Roadrunners in support of our students, colleagues and neighbors. To those who’d like to donate to º£½ÇÉçÇø students, faculty and staff in need, you can do so via theÌýÌýand we’ll share additional volunteer opportunities and ways to help via social media as they become available.ÌýÌýÌý
I encourage everyone in need to reach out to theÌýCounseling CenterÌý(303-615-9988) or theÌýStudent Care CenterÌý(303-615-0006). You can also contact º£½ÇÉçÇø’sÌýCARE TeamÌýif you are concerned about a student within the University community.Ìý

Please continue to lift each other up during these challenging times. Thank you for all you continue to do in support of our community.Ìý
Sincerely,Ìý
ÌýÌý
