What is the Speaker Series?
Social Work Speaker Series
We are excited to announce the launch of the 海角社区 Department of Social Work Speaker Series! The goal of this series is to provide students with engaging workshops, seminars, and learning opportunities outside of the classroom that deepen skills, inspire action, and highlight diverse areas of social work practice. We鈥檙e aiming to host at least one session each semester.听
If you鈥檙e a student and have a topic you鈥檇 love to see covered鈥攕uch as environmental social work, using animals in healing, psychedelics in therapy, or affecting change through policy鈥攑lease email us at [email protected].

This practical, student-focused session will walk through the Social Security Disability process from start to finish. Students will also learn听how听social workers play a critical role in strengthening disability cases.
