Biography

Anna has been working in higher education for over 10 years and is excited to bring this experience, along with a caring, welcoming and supportive presence to student advising. Community, belonging, and access are some of Anna’s core values. Prior to higher education, Anna worked in various non-profits, an elementary school, and as a professional baker.

Anna received a bachelor’s degree in Anthropology from American University in Washington, D.C. and has also taken graduate coursework in the fields of Counseling and Library & Information Science. Outside of work, Anna enjoys reading (especially memoirs and graphic novels), listening to podcasts, trying new food spots, attending cultural events, and tending to houseplants.
