It's Awards Season!

Self-nominations for the Outstanding Student Awards, including the Spring 2026 President鈥檚 Award and Provost鈥檚 Award, are now open!听听听

We welcome applications for one or more of the 2025-2026 Outstanding Student Awards, including the Spring 2026 President鈥檚 Award and Provost鈥檚 Award!

The award categories are:听

  • President鈥檚 Award (Winner will be a student Spring 2026 Commencement speaker!)听 听
  • Provost鈥檚 Award (Winner will be a student Spring 2026 Commencement speaker!) 听
  • Outstanding鈥疭ervice 鈥� Enrollment and Student Affairs
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and Design听
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Business听听听
  • Outstanding鈥疭tudent in the School of Education听听听
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Health and Human Sciences听听
  • Outstanding Student in the School of听Hospitality鈥�听
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences

All awards are initiated through self-nomination. Please consider applying for these awards if you meet the criteria listed below.听听听听

In order to be eligible, you must have applied to graduate in Spring 2026 (or have graduated in Summer or Fall 2025 for the Outstanding Student Awards for each School/College or Enrollment and Student Affairs).听If you have any questions regarding your graduation plan or eligibility to graduate, please discuss those questions with your academic advisor. 听

The nomination deadline for ALL materials, including letters of recommendation, is Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m.鈥�听

 

PRESIDENT鈥橲 AWARD & PROVOST鈥橲 AWARD CRITERIA听听听

  • Undergraduate students who are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply 听
  • Cumulative 海角社区 GPA must be 3.75 or higher听听
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at 海角社区, or be in progress听
  • Superior academic achievement, community service, University service (academic, departmental, and/or programmatic) and/or other honors/awards should be described in application materials听听
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Public speaking experience听听

(Note:鈥痓e sure to have recommendation鈥痩etters submitted by 海角社区 staff and/or faculty to support your nomination. Please direct the individuals writing letters of recommendation on your behalf to submit their recommendation through the鈥�).听

 

 

OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN THE COLLEGES/SCHOOLS AWARDS鈥疌RITERIA听

(College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering and Design; College of Business; College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences; College of Health and Human Sciences; School of Education; School of Hospitality – Award category eligibility based on student鈥檚 major(s))听听听

  • Undergraduate students who graduated in Summer or Fall of 2025 or are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply 听
  • Cumulative 海角社区 GPA must be 3.5 or higher听
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at 海角社区, or be in progress听听
  • Outstanding achievements (personal and professional), community and University service, and other awards/honors should be detailed in application materials听听

OUTSTANDING鈥疭ERVICE 鈥� ENROLLMENT AND STUDENT AFFAIRS AWARD CRITERIA听听听

  • Undergraduate or graduate students who have graduated in Summer or Fall 2025 or are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply 听
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at 海角社区, or be in progress听听
  • Demonstrated contributions/service to a Student Affairs department or program听听
  • Demonstrated embodiment of the 海角社区 core values of Community, Access, Diversity, Respect and Excellence听
