It's Awards Season!

Self-nominations for the Outstanding Student Awards, including the Spring 2026 President’s Award and Provost’s Award, are now open!ÌýÌýÌý

We welcome applications for one or more of the 2025-2026 Outstanding Student Awards, including the Spring 2026 President’s Award and Provost’s Award!

The award categories are:Ìý

  • President’s Award (Winner will be a student Spring 2026 Commencement speaker!)Ìý Ìý
  • Provost’s Award (Winner will be a student Spring 2026 Commencement speaker!) Ìý
  • Outstanding Service – Enrollment and Student Affairs
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering, and DesignÌý
  • Outstanding Student in the College of BusinessÌýÌýÌý
  • Outstanding Student in the School of EducationÌýÌýÌý
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Health and Human SciencesÌýÌý
  • Outstanding Student in the School ofÌýHospitality ÌýÌý
  • Outstanding Student in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences

All awards are initiated through self-nomination. Please consider applying for these awards if you meet the criteria listed below.ÌýÌýÌýÌý

In order to be eligible, you must have applied to graduate in Spring 2026 (or have graduated in Summer or Fall 2025 for the Outstanding Student Awards for each School/College or Enrollment and Student Affairs).ÌýIf you have any questions regarding your graduation plan or eligibility to graduate, please discuss those questions with your academic advisor. Ìý

The nomination deadline for ALL materials, including letters of recommendation, is Friday, February 6, 2026 at 11:59 p.m. Ìý

 

PRESIDENT’S AWARD & PROVOST’S AWARD CRITERIAÌýÌýÌý

  • Undergraduate students who are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply Ìý
  • Cumulative º£½ÇÉçÇø GPA must be 3.75 or higherÌýÌý
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at º£½ÇÉçÇø, or be in progressÌý
  • Superior academic achievement, community service, University service (academic, departmental, and/or programmatic) and/or other honors/awards should be described in application materialsÌýÌý
  • Two letters of recommendation
  • Public speaking experienceÌýÌý

(Note: be sure to have recommendation letters submitted by º£½ÇÉçÇø staff and/or faculty to support your nomination. Please direct the individuals writing letters of recommendation on your behalf to submit their recommendation through the ).Ìý

 

 

OUTSTANDING STUDENT IN THE COLLEGES/SCHOOLS AWARDS CRITERIAÌý

(College of Aerospace, Computing, Engineering and Design; College of Business; College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences; College of Health and Human Sciences; School of Education; School of Hospitality – Award category eligibility based on student’s major(s))ÌýÌýÌý

  • Undergraduate students who graduated in Summer or Fall of 2025 or are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply Ìý
  • Cumulative º£½ÇÉçÇø GPA must be 3.5 or higherÌý
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at º£½ÇÉçÇø, or be in progressÌýÌý
  • Outstanding achievements (personal and professional), community and University service, and other awards/honors should be detailed in application materialsÌýÌý

OUTSTANDING SERVICE – ENROLLMENT AND STUDENT AFFAIRS AWARD CRITERIAÌýÌýÌý

  • Undergraduate or graduate students who have graduated in Summer or Fall 2025 or are graduating in the Spring 2026 semester are eligible to apply Ìý
  • Minimum of 30 academic credit hours must have been completed at º£½ÇÉçÇø, or be in progressÌýÌý
  • Demonstrated contributions/service to a Student Affairs department or programÌýÌý
  • Demonstrated embodiment of the º£½ÇÉçÇø core values of Community, Access, Diversity, Respect and ExcellenceÌý
