Katie Strain is aÌýtriple-TTB Certified ChemistÌýfor the analysis of beer, wine, and spirits for export.Ìý She helped to open and promote the Beverage Analytics QA/QC Lab in April of 2019, and has been the acting Laboratory Manager ever since.ÌýÌýKatie came to º£½ÇÉçÇø from Southern Illinois University- Carbondale, where she earned aÌýMaster of ScienceÌýwith a focus on method development and validation of soil and water samplesÌýtaken fromÌýlarge-scale agricultural fields and aquatic microcosms.

After graduation,Ìý²õ³ó±ðÌýworked as the Lab Manager for the Fermentation Science Institute, which is where sheÌýfocused her analytical expertise on alcoholic beverages.ÌýÌýKatie is a lecturer in the º£½ÇÉçÇø School of Hospitality Brewery Operations Program, where she teachesÌý, , , and .ÌýÌýÌýÌý
