Motorola Innovation Camp

The 海角社区 Innovation Summer Camp is a week-long, hands-on STEM experience designed for middle school students to explore fields like electrical engineering, computer science, and emergency response. Students work in teams to build and test real projects such as circuits, sensors, and 鈥渟mart city鈥� systems while being guided by university faculty, students, and industry mentors. Throughout the week, they develop problem-solving and teamwork skills and apply technology to real-world challenges focused on community safety.

IEEE Build Something Cool (May 16th)

The IEEE Build Something Cool event is a free, hands-on engineering workshop for students in grades 6-12 and their parents. Participants will work alongside professors and industry professionals to build their own electronics project while learning about soldering, programming, robotics, and the exciting world of engineering. The event will be held at 海角社区鈥檚 Auraria Campus in the Aerospace and Engineering Sciences Building. Lunch will be provided, and every student will leave with the project they built and new inspiration to explore engineering.

{CodeDenver} (June 8th - July 3rd)

Flyer for 鈥渰CodeDenver},鈥� an experimental STEM summer program. It highlights a month-long technology immersion (June 8鈥揓uly 3, 2026) featuring visits to tech organizations, hands-on work with experts in aeronautics, robotics, and geophysics, and access to mentorship, tutoring, internships, and scholarships. The program is open to current 9th鈥�11th grade students, runs Monday鈥揊riday from 9am鈥�3pm, and provides breakfast and lunch. Partners include 海角社区, Colorado School of Mines, and the Gordon Family Giving Foundation; the flyer notes that 93% of students go to college and 65% enter tech fields, and includes a QR code to apply.

CodeDenver is a month long intensive technology immersion summer program. We take visits to organizations utilizing cutting edge technology, working with aeronautics, robotics, geophysics, and so much more. In collaboration with 海角社区, Colorado School of Mines, and the Gordon Family Giving Foundation, co-founded by Nuggets player Aaron Gordon with his mother Shelly Davis.
