The Alumni Commencement Keynote Celebration honors Chucky Moss ‘91 (Accounting & Finance) and Janet Damon ‘00 (History, 2025 Colorado Teacher of the Year) — two remarkable graduates whose leadership and accomplishments embody the spirit of º£½ÇÉçÇø.
This casual, celebratory reception will include remarks from the University President, Alumni Association President, and our keynote honorees. Raise a glass to Chucky and Janet, connect with fellow Roadrunners, and celebrate the growing impact of º£½ÇÉçÇø alumni across Colorado and beyond.
Janet Damon ‘00 (History — 2025 Colorado Teacher of the Year)
Janet Damon is an award-winning educator, community advocate, and lifelong learner whose work integrates wellbeing, literacy, and connection to nature. With more than 25 years of experience in urban schools, she has empowered students to find their voice through mindfulness, art, and advocacy. As founder of a nature-based book club partnering with organizations like Barr Lake and the Audubon Society, she has introduced hundreds of youth to outdoor learning and provided over 1,000 books to young readers. Her leadership as the 2025 Colorado Teacher of the Year reflects her belief in the transformative power of education and community.
Chucky Moss ‘91 (Accounting & Finance)
A first-generation college graduate, Chucky Moss has built a distinguished career in finance, accounting, and technology. After earning dual degrees in Accounting and Finance from º£½ÇÉçÇø, he began his career at Arthur Andersen and now serves in leadership at Wolters Kluwer, a global leader in tax and accounting solutions. Over three decades, he has guided teams and organizations through complex transformations while championing mentorship, innovation, and lifelong learning. Chucky’s journey embodies resilience, leadership, and the Roadrunner spirit of helping others achieve success.
