Current State of the Program

In听September 2025,听迟丑别听College Assistance听Migrant听Program听(CAMP)听at MSU听Denver听was听discontinued听until further notice due to lack of听federal grant听funding.听This means that we听are not听accepting听applications听for the program,听and we听do not have staff available to help answer questions听and offer direct support.听It is unclear听if听we will be听able to secure funding听any time soon.听If听so, we will听update our website听with听all听迟丑别听appropriate information听to offer services.听We are deeply saddened by this impact听on听our students.听We encourage you to听contact听other 海角社区 resources for support.听听

海角社区 CAMP

The College Assistance Migrant Program (CAMP) at Metropolitan State University of Denver is a grant-funded scholarship program by the U.S. Department of Education. CAMP is designed to meet the academic, financial, and social needs of migrant and/or seasonal farmworkers and their children in pursuing higher education.

CAMP Mission

The听mission听of the College Assistance Migrant Program at Metropolitan State University of Denver is to support the completion of the first year of college of听eligible migrant and seasonal farmworkers and their children听by providing comprehensive听outreach and enrollment assistance, academic support, financial aid, and social opportunities. Ultimately, the program aims to prepare participants for further success听in higher education and to听achieve a post-secondary degree.

I was inspired by the fields my family members and parents used to work when we first got here to Colorado (I still drive by those fields in Fort Lupton and Brighton) and inspired by the downtown setting of 海角社区. CAMP really helped me out through college by providing a safe space for me to study and socialize with people of similar backgrounds as me. It gave me opportunities to learn more about different subjects through workshops, trips,听etc..听CAMP also made sure I stayed on track with my credits and requirements for my major and minor even after my first year which was something they went above and beyond with.
