Our students gain hands-on experience with all the latest technologies, applied in the context of business work. We offer advanced studies across a huge range of areas 鈥 including cybersecurity (jointly offered by the departments of Criminal Justice and Criminology, Mathematical and Computer Sciences and Computer Information Systems听and Business Analytics), computer information systems, business analytics, systems analysis, design and development, data management, telecommunications, data mining and application development. Couple all this learning with some of the best internship opportunities in the state, and you have an ideal platform from which to听launch a successful career.听

Program Summary
The Master of Science in Business Intelligence (MSBI) is designed to merge technical competencies, such as data analysis, visualization, machine learning, and statistical modeling, with business strategy.听 It prepares graduates to turn complex data into actionable insights for decision-making across industries.
If you are听applying to 海角社区, indicate business听Intelligence as your major and identify whether you want to study fully online. (On-campus students can also take some online classes.)
You can complete the degree partially or completely online. All required classes can be completed online. You can also complete all College of Business core classes online, as well as your general education courses鈥攁nd many exciting general electives in the College of Business and across campus. Not every class is offered online every semester, though, so be sure to discuss your options with an advisor.

Dr. Maldonado has spent years in industry designing and implementing network solutions internationally. His work has been published in academic journals and he served as a leader for a national case study, 鈥淩esearch of Emergency Capacity Building,鈥 sponsored by the National Science Foundation. Recent work includes his studies of social media use by emergency communicators.
