Exploring Anti-Asian Racism on Twitter听
Which types of threat perceptions appear in the racism-infused tweets against Asians reveal in the unique context of the COVID-19 pandemic? What drives harmful tweets to go viral?听These are some of the questions that this research project aims to answer.

A Framework for听Collaborative听Recommendation听Systems听
Collaborative recommendation systems try听to suggest听products听or services听based on听the degree of similarity between users.听听The听goal听of this听project听is听to develop a framework that can be easily adapted to different recommendation systems听based on databases available on the internet, such as听Goodreads,听Yelp,听Tripadvisor,听IMDb, among others.

Data Mining Pipeline听Architectures
When it comes to building data mining pipelines, there are many options available, from听simple听pipelines with听small听datasets听that can听fit in memory听to more complex pipelines with real-time听generated听data听simultaneously听analyzed听by different processes听using cloud computing tools.听听Students working on this project will have the opportunity to study different data mining pipeline architectures using听cutting-edge tools and techniques听to solve real-world problems.听
