Welcome! The Counseling Center works with many departments and student organizations to work together on our shared goals of reducing stigma and promoting mental health and well-being on campus.

Our goal is to train everyone on the 海角社区 campus how to engage in suicide prevention!
Request this 2-hour workshop for students, faculty, and staff.聽 You can have a Counseling Center clinician come train your group of 10+ to learn the myths about suicide as well as the signs, symptoms, and steps to help someone wanting to take their own life.聽 and earn the QPR Suicide Prevention Certificate.
In the 2024-2025 academic year, our inaugural year of introducing QPR to our campus community, the Counseling Center trained 116 staff, faculty, and students.
This current 2025-26 academic year, the Counseling Center has trained 246 members of our community鈥 and counting!
Please use the link below to submit your outreach request at least 2-4 weeks in advance of the event. The further in advance we receive your request, the more likely we may be able to fulfill it.

The Counseling Center provides free screenings and resources that are open to the Auraria Community.
Join us聽11 am – 2 pm聽in the Multicultural Lounge聽located in the聽Tivoli Student Union聽across from Starbucks for our annual screenings.
These are opportunities to gain more knowledge about Depression, Eating Disorders, and Substance Use, as well as healthy ways to improve your mood and behaviors.

Caring in Community Faire

Join the 海角社区 Counseling Center for community and good Renaissance Faire revelry! With聽games, interactive activities, prizes, and places to eat聽and recharge your 鈥榮tamina bar,鈥 contribute to our campus鈥 quest for learning how to care for one another and yourself throughout your college experience. Learn more about accessible mental health resources on campus and gain skills for what to do when a friend is having a hard time.
