Dr. Pollard brought an academic and practical perspective to the discussion, helping frame what “entrepreneurial readiness” truly means at the earliest stages of building a venture. The panel focused on foundational elements such as strategy, decision-making, and building with intention—core concepts that shape how early founders move from idea to execution.
Alongside Dr. Pollard, the panel included Maithreyi Gopalakrishnan, Founder & CEO, PrecisionTerra, Murphy Robinson, Co-Founder & CEO, SurePass, and Carson Vest, Associate, Denver Angels. Together, the group explored entrepreneurship from multiple angles, blending insights from founders, investors, and academia to give attendees a well-rounded understanding of what it takes to start and sustain a venture.
Dr. Pollard’s contributions emphasized the importance of intentional thinking in the earliest phases of entrepreneurship, encouraging attendees to think critically about not just what they are building, but why and how they are building it.
Hosted by Access Mode, a tech accelerator supporting underserved founders in the tech space, the event brought together a community of aspiring entrepreneurs and builders from across Colorado. The conversation highlighted both opportunity and access in entrepreneurship, underscoring the importance of creating pathways for diverse founders to enter the tech ecosystem.
The event fostered meaningful conversations between students, founders, and professionals, many of whom were engaging with Access Mode for the first time.
Special thanks to the Credit Union of Colorado and the Colorado Office of Economic Development and International Trade for their support in bringing the event to the community.
