This training uses the 4 I鈥檚 of Oppression framework to give听your team members听a foundational understanding of the production听of听systems of听oppression (e.g., racism, sexism, homophobia, ableism, etc.).听听The training engages with听how these systems听are maintained听at the听key听level of our ideas, within social听institutions, in interpersonal relationships听and听in听our own selves.听Participants are asked to reflect on their own ideas, relationships and patterns of mind听and听how听these听connect听to larger social narratives, which perpetuate听or dismantle听inequities.听Engaging with the 4 I鈥檚 of Oppression helps us recognize听the workings of oppression and gives us听the space to engage with the world with a fresh perspective.

This workshop introduces participants to听mindfulness and basic lay meditation techniques,听in order to听engage with power, systemic oppression and听change听from听moment-to-moment for听a sustainable听and听holistic听approach to social justice听leadership, teaching and activism.听Trainees听will learn听to听lead difficult听conversations听and/or听engage in activism听from听an embodied perspective,听aware of听views听and听feelings,听for a more grounded approach听to engage with the most urgent issues of our times.听听

What do we think of when we hear 鈥�professionalism?鈥澨�This training asks participants to consider the听origins听of modern听ideas of听professionalism through an anti-imperialist lens. How can we move away听from hierarchical thinking, individualism, and听perfectionism听and move听toward听inclusive听workplaces that听embrace conflict听and听nurture relationships with ourselves and each other?听This training challenges听attitudes and behaviors of white supremacy culture that听often lead to burnout.听

This training is an introduction to understanding the differences between gender, sex and sexuality and the lived experiences of the LGBTQIA+ community. Content includes听exploring key concepts and terminology, scenarios for working with LGBTQ+ individuals, and a personal exploration of gender and sexuality for each participant.听听

In this training听participants will learn听a brief听history of anti-racist movements in the U.S.,听the difference between 鈥渘ot racist鈥� and 鈥渁nti-racist,鈥� and will听apply听this understanding to their own work, lives听and environment.听This training can be adapted to the听needs听of your office or group.听

This training gives participants the language and tools to build healthy communication practices, name and address conflict with听the Wheel of Disillusionment framework, and create a stronger and more trusting team. This training will help your team step confidently into conflict through learning about your similarities and differences, utilizing assertive communication skills, and engaging in healthy and compassionate conflict management. This training is best suited for offices/teams who work together regularly; full team participation is recommended.听
