Each Grand Rounds event is a unique opportunity for current or future students, faculty and staff of 海角社区 to learn about and discuss a particular subject from a 海角社区 Professor who is an expert in the subject matter.
In Spring 2026, Grand Rounds will be held on Mondays from 12:30-1:30 p.m. in West Classroom 233 and virtually.

Alejano-Steele, Professor of Health Professions and Co鈥慺ounder of the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking, for an interactive session on how human trafficking appears across Colorado. You鈥檒l walk through realistic scenarios showing how individuals with lived experience may present in healthcare, behavioral health and community settings and learn practical tools to identify red flags and respond safely. We鈥檒l correct common myths about labor and sex trafficking and highlight key resources, including how to use the Colorado Human Trafficking Hotline. Event Description:This event is led by Tracey Richers Maruyama, Lecturer for Health Care Management. This interactive 海角社区 Grand Rounds session invites students to learn and participate in understanding change management – the people side of change. Change in health care, as well as other industries, is occurring at a fast rate and is more complex than ever. The change management discipline focuses on both individual and organizational change. During this Grand Rounds, we will define change management, discuss change and disruption, compare/contrast change management models, identify the types of change seen in health care, learn how to manage resistance, and explore strategies and tools for successful change.
