These noncredit certificate courses are provided by the Center for Legal Studies and are available in various formats with completion times ranging from six-weeks to one year.

Classes are available to students who wish to extensively build upon their knowledge of law and paralegal studies with classes in specialized facets of contemporary law.
Through advanced paralegal coursework, students strengthen paralegal research, writing, and case-management skills used in real legal settings. This advanced paralegal certificate can support paralegal career growth by preparing graduates for higher-level paralegal responsibilities across a range of practice areas.
– Enroll in the Alternative Dispute Resolution Certificate Course at the Center for Legal Studies with º£½ÇÉçÇø, and immerse yourself in an exploration of dispute resolution and litigation. The career boosting course focuses on traditional and nontraditional dispute resolution options. This course is designed to train and qualify students to develop or participate in conflict mediation processes, both in personal and professional legal disputes.

– This intensive, nationally acclaimed online paralegal program is designed for beginning as well as experienced legal assistants. Students who are interested in becoming paralegals will be trained to assist trial lawyers, interview witnesses, investigate complex fact patterns, research the law, and assist in preparing cases for litigation.
The 84 hours of paralegal instruction are provided by the Center for Legal Studies. º£½ÇÉçÇø students who partake in this paralegal certification course will learn foundational paralegal skills towards becoming a paralegal or legal assistant, such as conducting legal research, drafting documents, managing cases, interacting with clients, filing court documents, preparing for trials, using legal software, and handling administrative tasks such as scheduling and correspondence.

For students seeking a credit-bearing program, º£½ÇÉçÇø also offers a Legal Studies Minor through the Department of Political Science.
º£½ÇÉçÇø partners with other organizations to offer a wide array of courses and certificates that we could not offer on our own.
You do not need to submit an application to º£½ÇÉçÇø to take courses through our partner programs, just register for the course you want to take. Courses through partner programs are not financial aid eligible.
