Dr. Alexandre Padilla is Professor of Economics and Department Chair at Metropolitan State University of Denver, where he has taught since 2002. He directs the Exploring Economic Freedom Project and is the 2024–2025 º£½ÇÉçÇø Chair Excellence Award recipient. His research explores the institutional impacts of immigration, populism, and economic governance, with publications in journals such as Public Choice, Journal of Economic Behavior & Organization, and European Journal of Political Economy. He teaches Economic Policy Analysis, Political Economy of Immigration, Law & Economics, and Managerial Economics. Dr. Padilla earned his Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Doctorate in Economics from the University of Marseille, France. He serves on the executive boards of the Denver Association of Business Economists and the Association of Private Enterprise Education.

Dr. Angela Busila holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of Missouri–St. Louis, an MBA from Northern Illinois University, and a Ph.D. in Human Behavior and Belief Systems (Saybrook University) with a dissertation on ethical decision‑making in emerging accounting professionals. She has been a licensed CPA since 1988 and has taught accounting and business courses since 1992. Her professional experience includes roles in public accounting, government auditing, and senior financial leadership positions such as Controller and CFO. She enjoys walking her retired show dog, Rye, reading historical fiction, and spending time with family.

Dr. Chandler Reilly is an Assistant Professor of Economics in the College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver. He earned his Ph.D. in Economics from George Mason University. Dr. Reilly teaches Managerial Economics in the MBA program, emphasizing applied microeconomic tools and real‑world decision‑making scenarios. At the undergraduate level, he teaches Principles of Microeconomics and related courses in both in‑person and online formats.

Dr. Chao Wei joined Metropolitan State University of Denver in 2024 as an Assistant Professor of Finance. Prior to entering academia, he served as a Senior Model Risk Analyst at Western Alliance Bank, specializing in CECL model validation and stress‑testing frameworks. Dr. Wei earned his Ph.D. in Finance from the University of Texas at El Paso. His research spans corporate finance, banking, and market microstructure. He is also a certified Financial Risk Manager (FRM) through the Global Association of Risk Professionals.

Before joining º£½ÇÉçÇø, Charles served as Global Head of Talent Management at Janus Henderson Investors, leading teams across Denver and London. For many years, he was an Advisor and Instructor for the University of Denver’s Daniels College of Business and an Advisory Board Member for CU Denver Business School. Charles holds a B.A. in Economics and Political Science from the City University of New York, Queens College. He also has SPHR and SHRM-SCP certifications. He enjoys time with his family—and cat and dog—and loves movies and television.

David Acevedo‑Yates is a senior finance and administration executive with more than 15 years of leadership experience in government, higher education, and nonprofit sectors. He holds an MBA from The George Washington University (including study at Copenhagen Business School) and a B.S. in Neuroscience from UCLA. David’s career includes roles at the City and County of Broomfield, UCLA, the University of Denver, and CU Boulder, where he led financial strategy, operations, and digital transformation initiatives. He is committed to helping students connect financial strategy to real‑world organizational impact.
David lives in Colorado with his family and enjoys traveling and camping.

Dr. Edgar Maldonado is an Electronic Engineer (Simón BolÃvar University, 1999) and holds a Ph.D. in Information Sciences and Technology from Penn State University (2009). He has taught at º£½ÇÉçÇø since 2012 and has also taught at Regis University.
His research focuses on the intersection of data analytics and higher education. Outside academia, he served as a volunteer firefighter in college and has completed nine marathons.

Dr. Eric Blomfelt is a lawyer with many years of experience in insurance and risk management. He uses examples from his experience defending negligence and workers’ compensation cases to demonstrate to students the importance of using sound risk management practices to avoid liability. As a serial entrepreneur, he brings to the classroom his experience in starting businesses in publishing, insurance consulting and ghost tours.

Dr. Gregory Black holds a double major in International Relations and the Korean Language from Brigham Young University, an MBA from Brigham Young University, and a Ph.D. in Business Administration (Marketing) from Washington State University.
He is an active scholar with nearly 40 published journal articles and over 100 conference presentations. Dr. Black joined º£½ÇÉçÇø in 2009 after 15 years of teaching in Texas. Outside of academia, he enjoys outdoor recreation, including annual trips to Alaska.

Dr. Lina Xu earned her Ph.D. in Marketing from New Mexico State University in 2022. Her research interests include digital marketing communication, product design in digital formats, and emerging technologies. She is passionate about teaching consumer behavior and marketing analytics.

Dr. Matt Ostberg earned his B.S. in Mathematics from Metropolitan State College of Denver. His career spans over two decades in systems analysis and engineering at organizations including Merrill Lynch, Qwest, MCI Worldcom, Sun Microsystems, and Oracle. He holds an MBA in Finance from Regis University and a Ph.D. in Research Methods and Statistics (Finance Cognate) from the University of Denver, along with a second master’s degree in Data Science. Dr. Ostberg has supported mission‑critical systems, taught engineering skills to professionals, built forecasting and machine‑learning models, and taught communication and conflict‑resolution programs for executives. He now works as an independent consultant and adjunct faculty member.

Paul Anderson is an Affiliate Faculty member and a double alumnus of Metropolitan State University of Denver, earning a B.S. in Aviation Technology and an MBA in Strategic Business. With more than 20 years of executive experience, he has led large‑scale technology initiatives, public and private sector strategy, and AI‑driven operational optimization. Paul combines his corporate leadership background with his work as a Commercial Pilot and Certified Flight Instructor. His teaching centers on evidence‑based leadership, decision modeling, and innovation in a rapidly changing business environment.

Dr. Robert Reich holds a Ph.D. and MBA in Management from Claremont Graduate University and a B.A. in Psychology from the University of California, Berkeley. He teaches courses across finance, accounting, operations, data analytics, supply chain management, human resources, and marketing communications. Dr. Reich has consulted for the City of Los Angeles, Major League Baseball’s Commissioner’s Office, and the U.S. Anti‑Doping Association.

Dr. Sabina Mlodzianowska holds a Ph.D. in Economics and a Master’s in Economics from the University of Gdańsk (Poland), as well as an Executive MBA from the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University (Canada). She has also completed academic and executive coursework at leading global institutions, including Harvard University, the Columbia Center on Sustainable Investment, Saarland University, the University of Alicante, and the Inter‑American Development Bank.
She currently serves as a faculty member in the College of Business at Metropolitan State University of Denver. Dr. Mlodzianowska brings extensive international academic leadership experience. She previously served as Director of the Graduate School and Director of the Master’s Program in Operations and Project Management at Universidad de Lima (Peru). She has also worked as a Research Associate and Research Manager at the Beedie School of Business at Simon Fraser University and at the Canadian International Resources and Development Institute (CIRDI).
In Peru, she also held leadership roles as Director of Programs in Enterprise Administration, Administration and Marketing, and Hospitality and Tourism Administration at the Technological University of Peru. Before her academic career, Dr. Mlodzianowska worked in European multinational corporations in the fields of foreign trade and logistics.
Her international background reflects her professional interests in international business, sustainable development, economics, and cross‑cultural management.

Dr. Salina Siddique is an Associate Professor of Accounting at º£½ÇÉçÇø. She holds a Master’s in Professional Accounting from Central Queensland University (Australia), where she received the Director’s Award for leadership, and a Ph.D. in Accounting from Victoria University (Melbourne). She previously taught for eleven years at Victoria University, earning a Teaching Excellence Award for innovation in accounting education. At º£½ÇÉçÇø, she received the Dean’s Award for Teaching Excellence for her work developing online instructional materials. Her research focuses on corporate social and environmental reporting, ethics, and corporate responsibility, with publications in Business Strategy and the Environment, Australasian Accounting, Business and Finance Journal, and the Journal of Ethical and Legal Issues.

Scott Margolis is a data governance expert with more than two decades of experience developing innovative strategies and solutions for firms to address complex issues. Mr. Margolis supports client executives, including chief officers of data, compliance, privacy and information, with building scalable global governance programs and enabling the supporting technology capabilities. His expertise spans compliance and risk, defensible disposition, data stewardship, and valuation and monetization of data.
Mr. Margolis’s experience includes deep industry background in financial services, transportation, logistics, and the energy complex. He works closely with clients to develop programs that simultaneously enhance data operations and derive value, reduce risk and support compliance activities. His approach focuses on delivering holistic programs that drive business growth in the face of complex challenges.
Prior to joining FTI Technology, Mr. Margolis was Managing Director of data governance, privacy compliance and technology enablement at EY for more than five years. He also oversaw financial services security and data compliance at PwC and was previously Senior Vice President, Compliance Executive at Bank of America.
Mr. Margolis has two U.S. patents for processes and technologies supporting cross-border data transfers. He also holds numerous copyrights for bespoke software he has developed. He is an adjunct professor for data analytics and business intelligence in the program at Metropolitan State University of Denver.

Stacy Dvergsdal brings more than 22 years of higher‑education experience and 25 years of leadership in HR strategy, organizational culture, DEIB, and employee engagement.
Before joining º£½ÇÉçÇø, Stacy led culture and leadership initiatives at Denver Public Schools and held organizational development roles at Janus Capital Group, Jeppesen (a Boeing company), and Xerox. She has also consulted for organizations including the Denver Zoo, Raytheon, and the City and County of Denver. Stacy is now the Associate VP for Administration and Chief Human Resources Officer
Stacy has more than 15 years of teaching experience as affiliate faculty at Regis University, where she designed and taught graduate courses in the Master of Organizational Leadership and MBA programs.
A first‑generation college graduate, she holds an M.A. in Industrial‑Organizational Psychology from the University of Colorado Denver and a B.A. in Psychology, magna cum laude, from Southern Methodist University. She enjoys spending time in the mountains with her family and has climbed 40 Colorado fourteeners.

Dr. Viktor Kiss completed his Doctorate in Economics / Business Administration at the University of Pecs in Hungary; he has a graduate degree from the Middlesex University in London and is an affiliate member of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology alumni association thorough completing two graduate level programs offered by the institution.
He teaches quantitative courses, ranging from Business Analytics through Machine Learning to more advanced Data Mining courses. His research focuses on the area of modeling complex systems. Recent work has been published in Renewable and Sustainable Energy Review, Ecological Economics, Energy, Ecological Indicators and the American Journal of Management.

Whitney Pavlovich holds an MBA from the University of Denver and teaches leadership courses in º£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s MBA program, drawing from more than two decades of executive experience in media, technology, and advertising industries.
She has held senior leadership roles including Chief Revenue Officer, Senior Vice President of Sales, and Vice President of Sales, where she led high‑performing teams, launched new business lines, and drove strategic revenue growth.
A former executive at National CineMedia, she remains passionate about cinema as a powerful storytelling medium.In the classroom, she focuses on complex leadership environments, decision‑making, organizational culture, and applying theory to practice. She greatly values º£½ÇÉçÇøâ€™s diverse and ambitious student community.
