Music Scholarships at 海角社区

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Department of Music proudly offers a robust amount of music scholarships to our students. Our scholarships fall under two categories: Talent Scholarships, and Named Scholarships.

Talent Scholarships

Talent Scholarships are offered to incoming students who perform an audition for private lessons. The audition is the application; no further action is required to be considered for a Talent Scholarship.

Priority consideration is given to students who perform their audition before March 1 for a start date in the following fall semester (for example, before March 1, 2026 for a start date of Fall 2026).

Talent Scholarships may be renewed for up to four years based on fulfillment of scholarship requirements and availability of department resources.

Named Scholarships

The Department of Music offers numerous Named Scholarships to current students every year. Each Named Scholarship has unique eligibility criteria.

Students may apply for Named Scholarships via during the open application window (typically December 1 – March 1 for the following academic year).

Recipients are determined by a committee made up of Music Department faculty and in some cases, the donor. Recipients are announced during the spring semester and awarded in the following academic year. Students may reapply for the same scholarship every year.

Select each scholarship to view the eligibility criteria. In general, all applicants must be meeting the University鈥檚 Satisfactory Academic Progress (SAP) requirements and cannot be in default or owe any refund/repayment of federal, state or institutional aid.
