Wondering if you should be a nurse?

Ask yourself these questions:

  1. Am I good in math and science?
  2. Do I like to help others?
  3. Can I handle physical work?
  4. Am I comfortable working 12-hour shifts, flexible hours, nights, weekends, and holidays?
  5. Can I calmly manage stressful, unpleasant situations?
  6. Do I consider myself to be patient, empathetic, emotionally mature, and kind?
  7. Am I comfortable providing intimate care such as taking someone to the bathroom, helping them bathe and dress, or feeding them?

If you answered YES to these questions, then nursing may be a good fit for you.
