Located next to the Tivoli Garage, the 12-story building willÌýfeatureÌýmodern living,ÌýdiningÌýand retail,ÌýplusÌýa dedicated floor forÌýourÌýClassroom to Career Hub.ÌýIntegrating careerÌýexploration and industry partnershipsÌýinto daily lifeÌýwillÌýconnectÌýRoadrunnersÌýto internships and jobs thatÌýserveÌýColorado’s workforce.ÌýOpeningÌýinÌýfallÌý2027,ÌýSummit HouseÌýwill reduce housing insecurity, improveÌýretentionÌýand make º£½ÇÉçÇø more accessible to students across the state—producing more graduates who live,ÌýworkÌýand contribute to Colorado’s economy.ÌýÌý
The Gina and Frank Day Health InstituteÌýTowerÌý
Connecting to theÌýsouth side ofÌýWest Classroom, theÌýnewÌýDayÌýHealth InstituteÌýTowerÌýwill uniteÌý10 health-relatedÌýdepartments under one roof.ÌýBreakingÌýgroundÌýearly next year,Ìýthe five-storyÌýbuildingÌýwill expand enrollment, create new pathways into high-demand healthÌýcareersÌýand help address Colorado’s critical shortage of trained professionals. This hubÌýwill prepare the next generation ofÌýhealthÌýcareÌýleaders while advancing community well-being and statewide economic resilience.Ìý
ReimaginingÌýcampusÌýspacesÌý
TheÌýlong-dormant aquatics facilityÌýin the Auraria Events CenterÌýis undergoing renovation and willÌýreopen asÌýaÌýfully accessible 500-seat venueÌýfor gatherings,ÌýperformancesÌýandÌýconferences.ÌýBeyondÌýenrichingÌýcampusÌýlifeÌýbyÌýprovidingÌýadditionalÌýspace forÌýclasses,Ìýathletics,ÌýrecreationÌýandÌýUniversity events, itÌýwill attract statewideÌýconferences andÌýeventsÌýandÌýgenerateÌýrevenueÌýforÌýº£½ÇÉçÇø.Ìý
Other projects across campus include a newÌýCampus Safety Center,Ìýwhich will houseÌýclassroom and meeting space forÌýcriminal-justice programs in all three Auraria institutions of higher educationÌýalongsideÌýnew and improvedÌýspaces forÌýtheÌýAurariaÌýCampus Police Department.ÌýTheÌýWorkforce Housing and Early Learning CenterÌý(2027),ÌýwillÌýbeÌýlocatedÌýnext door toÌýSummit HouseÌýand willÌýaddressÌýhousing andÌýchildÌýcareÌýneeds forÌýAurariaÌýemployees, adultÌýstudentsÌýandÌýColorado families. Finally, theÌý5th Street Garage Department of Revenue renovationÌý(through October),Ìýwill makeÌýbetter use of shared space andÌýimprovedÌýpublic servicesÌýforÌýour community.Ìý
