Hospitality industry stalwarts serve Colorado’s health care needs with $10 million gift
Dear º£½ÇÉçÇø Donors and Partners,
On behalf of the º£½ÇÉçÇø Foundation Board of Directors, Chairwoman Dawn Bookhardt, J.D., and Vice President Christine Márquez-Hudson, we are pleased to present you with the 2024 º£½ÇÉçÇø Foundation Annual Report!
Thanks to all of you, we are celebrating another record-breaking year, raising more than $22.1 million to support the University’s highest priorities: Facilitating Student Success, Creating Classroom to Career Pathways, Advancing Colorado’s Talent Pipeline and Cultivating Inclusive Excellence.
The ripple effect of this remarkable accomplishment will reach far beyond current and future Roadrunners, transforming families and communities for generations to come.
In these pages, you will read about some of the generous gifts that made this year a tremendous success, including a historic $10 million gift from Gina and Frank Day, establishing the Gina and Frank Day Health Institute at º£½ÇÉçÇø; a $1.4 million gift from Colorado Access and the Colorado Access Foundation to grow and diversify Colorado’s health care workforce; and $300,000 from the Colorado Housing and Finance Authority to help launch the Affordable Housing Institute in the College of Business – and that’s just the beginning.
We are deeply grateful to each and every university, alumni and community donor inspired by our remarkable students, unprecedented programs and unique, high-impact partnerships that are changing the face of education and industry in Colorado. We hope that reading this report inspires you, too!
A gift supporting º£½ÇÉçÇø – the third-largest public university in the state – is an investment in our diverse student body, ensuring that they continue to receive a financially accessible world-class education, experiential learning opportunities and career connections. Together, we can provide them with the resources they need to turn ambition into achievement, reach their goal of graduating and become tomorrow’s Changemakers!
Warmly,
Christine Márquez-Hudson
