Welcome to the 海角社区 Graduate Studies Orientation. The information and guidance offered below is designed to help you succeed on your journey through graduate school and to acquaint you with the resources and personnel available to help you thrive both academically and personally.

Online Orientation
The U.S. Department of Education provides more than $120 billion in student aid each year. In order to tap into the funds available, it鈥檚 vital for graduate students to be well-versed in the various programs through which funding is disbursed by connecting with the 海角社区 Office of Financial Aid.
When you have academic questions, the is here to help. Whether you have questions about sources, journal articles or even a textbook the Graduate Teaching and Learning Librarian is an amazing resource and is available to help you navigate through the Auraria Library website and a plethora of databases. Follow along as Geoff Johnson provides information about the research help services offered and how to access those resources (and many more) through the library website.
If you ever face a writer鈥檚 block or just need another set of eyes to edit your written work, the Writing Center is here to meet your needs. Learn about the Writing Center鈥檚 approach and how center employees can help you achieve your writing goals throughout your graduate school journey.
When times get tough, it鈥檚 important to take time and connect with professionals who can help you work through critical issues. Learn more about the Counseling Center and all of the resources that are available to you as a graduate student by visiting this module. The Counseling Center offers individual and group counseling, as well as workshops designed to meet the unique needs of our graduate student population. The counseling center is located in Tivoli 651.

The works diligently to provide graduate students with free testing and resources related to the overall health of our Roadrunner family. Learn about the various delivery options for services offered by the Health Center including insurance, immunizations and more. The Health Center at Auraria is located within the Plaza building, Suite 150, but also offers tele-health care.
We understand the importance of creating an environment where everyone feels safe being themselves. The Office of Diversity and Inclusion provides trainings for faculty and staff, as well as hosts several annual events. At 海角社区, everyone is welcome.
First Steps for New Students
One of the first things you should do as a new student is obtain a Student ID! Learn more about the ID Station and plan to get your ID at your earliest convenience.
Students are offered a deeply discounted pass for public transportation with RTD. Accessing campus via public transportation is convenient for many people with two light rail stations and several bus stops on or near campus.
Parking at Auraria Campus is available to the general public on nights and weekends for an increased price. Students can register their vehicle with the campus to avoid these increased rates.
As soon as you are accepted to 海角社区, you should begin setting up your online accounts. These important steps are outlined by our Information Technology Services:
Students are also offered full access to Microsoft Office 365 and LinkedIn Learning, which offers a wide variety of curated training videos and learning opportunities.
Be sure to satisfy the health insurance and immunization requirements for students as soon as you can. Information about these requirements and your options are available via Health Center at Auraria.
Additional Resources
The Student Care Center provides holistic, non-clinical case management support to 海角社区 Students who are facing challenging life circumstances that may prevent them from otherwise pursuing their educational goal.
The Roadrunner Food Pantry serves to fight hunger on campus by providing a variety of food and snack options for all 海角社区 students. We believe that all students (regardless of need) can benefit from access to free food that is quality, culturally relevant, and nutritious. The Roadrunner Food Pantry is aligned with additional resources on and off campus that promote the overall well-being of the students.
The Access Center collaborates with and empowers students who have disabilities by coordinating accommodations and support services that enable equal access to the students鈥� educational experience.
