海角社区 Graduate Programs Admissions Requirements

All graduate programs have program specific admission requirements. Before you begin your graduate program application, please visit the website of your selected graduate program and review the specific admissions requirements for your selected program.

For the application process, students can provide an unofficial transcript from the institution where they earned their BS or BA degrees.听Official transcripts are required AFTER a student receives an offer of admission.

Some but not all programs require:

  • A personal statement describing why the program would be a good fit for you
  • Academic/Professional References

Students are welcome to submit additional transcripts from other institutions, especially if the credits earned at those institutions have not been included in the baccalaureate degree. Individual graduate programs might require additional credential documentation.

PLEASE NOTE: Students who earned their undergraduate degree at 海角社区 do not have to submit their transcripts.

Unofficial vs. Official Documents and Transcripts. What’s the difference?

Unofficial

In most cases, unofficial documents and/or transcripts are copies or downloads that are easily accessible to the student.

  • Unofficial documents and/or transcripts generally have no associated cost.
  • Unofficial documents are generally required before the listed deadlines, in order to make an admission decision. Official documents will need to be received before classes start at 海角社区, and ideally before registering for classes.

Upload It

听to your admissions application and upload your document(s).

Transfer Students

Unofficial transcripts will not be used for official credit transfer evaluations. You will need to request official transcripts directly from all previously attended institutions.

Official

In most cases, in order for documents and/or transcripts to be considered official, it will need to be sent directly from the issuing school, institution or agency.

  • Sometimes there is a cost associated to have official documents sent.
  • Official documents are generally needed AFTER your initial admission decision is made.

Electronic

Official electronic transcripts and/or documents can only be delivered by the issuing institution听via email to [email protected]. Forwarded transcripts will not be accepted as official.

Transfer Students

Official transcripts are required for official transfer credit evaluations to determine how your previously earned credits will transfer into your 海角社区 student record.

Currently, 海角社区 issues I-20s only for the following graduate programs; Master of Business Administration, Master of Professional Accountancy, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Social Work, and Master of Speech-Language Pathology.
