Through rigorous coursework and a breadth of curriculum, the Didactic Program in Dietetics (DPD) Post-Baccalaureate Certificate Program prepares students to successfully become registered dietitian nutritionists (RDNs).
Completing the Certificate Program requirements will allow students to earn a DPD Verification Statement, which in turn makes them eligible to pursue the dietetic internship or supervised practice and become credentialed as an RDN.
*Note that as of January 1, 2024, a master’s degree is also required to pursue the RDN credential. Please see the Department of Nutrition for guidance on the best program for you.

Admissions
The Didactic Program in Dietetics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate program accepts applicants with a bachelor鈥檚 degree from a regionally accredited college or university in any discipline.
Steps to Complete Application
- Complete the online Undergraduate Admissions Application
- In the application, under the 海角社区 Plans section you will be asked two questions:
- What type of 海角社区 program are you interested in? 听Please select 鈥�Post-Baccalaureate Certificate鈥�
- What is your planned area of study? Please select 鈥�Didactic Program in Dietetics Post-Baccalaureate Certificate鈥�
- In the application, under the 海角社区 Plans section you will be asked two questions:

- Submit all Official Transcripts directly from all college and universities attended to [email protected]
*海角社区 official transcripts do not need to be requested
Financial Aid
If you are enrolled in a degree program, you may be eligible for financial aid. However, if you are only enrolled as a certificate student you will not be eligible for financial aid.

Curriculum and Advising
This Certificate Program is composed of a total of 73 credits. 23 credits of coursework must be taken at 海角社区 (refer to the advising guide below for more information) and the remaining courses can be taken at 海角社区 or transferred in.
Students must maintain a cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above with a minimum grade of C in all required courses for successful completion of the certificate.
