The LGBTQ Student Resource Center hosts a Lavender Graduation celebration every Spring semester for all Auraria graduates interested in receiving a rainbow stole to wear at Commencement, honoring their connection to or support of the LGBTQ+ community. During this celebration, graduates will also receive a free dinner with their chosen guests. Graduates who cannot attend Lavender Graduation are still able to receive a rainbow stole.

There will not be a fall 2026 celebration, but summer and fall graduates are eligible to participate in the spring celebration and receive a rainbow stole at that event. Summer and fall grads may also pick up a rainbow stole at Cap and Gown Pick Up on Nov. 17 and 18. Please check back here soon for more information on the Spring celebration.
