Summer Science Institute

This program is for middle school students in 6th, 7th, and 8th grade. It鈥檚 a chance to explore fun and exciting ways that math and science are used in the real world. You鈥檒l get to learn through hands鈥憃n activities, work with other students, and try out cool projects on the Auraria Campus. During each session, Metropolitan State University of Denver professors will teach both morning and afternoon classes. These classes follow Colorado鈥檚 learning standards, but they鈥檙e taught in a way that connects different subjects and makes learning more interactive.

MAP

MSU鈥揂nschutz Program for Undergraduate Research Scholars (MAP) MAP has two different paths you can choose from: General Track and Research Track. ________________________________________ 猸 General Track 鈥 This track is meant to introduce students to what research is like. 鈥 Anyone can apply, but it鈥檚 especially great for freshmen and sophomores. 鈥 It only requires a one semester commitment. 鈥 It鈥檚 perfect if you鈥檙e curious about research but haven鈥檛 tried it before. ________________________________________ 馃敩 Research Track 鈥 This track is designed for juniors and seniors. 鈥 You don鈥檛 need any previous research experience. 鈥 You鈥檒l work at least 15 hours a week during the school year. 鈥 In the summer, you鈥檒l work full time. 鈥 The commitment lasts 15 months, so you stay involved for over a year. ________________________________________ 馃挕 Most Important Requirement You don鈥檛 need special skills to start鈥攋ust enthusiasm, curiosity, and interest in learning something new
