Currently, all registered students will receive their bills through the online student portal (Student Hub) only. To access and retrieve your billing statement, go to the Student Hub, click on the “Pay Tuition” button and log in. This will take you to your Cashnet payment portal. Click on the “View” link next to the most recent billing statement to view your bill.

We also offer a real-time account transaction summary in between the billing cycles. To access the Account Detail by Term, follow these steps:

• Go to the Student Hub, under the Web Services section, then go to Student Profile (Self-Service Banner)
• Click on navigation boxes in left corner near the MSU Logo, which leads to the Menu bar.
• Click on 鈥淢enu鈥� and then click on “Students”.
• Click on the “Student Accounts”.
• Click on the “Account Detail by Term” link to view your updated account summary for each term.

Students will receive a monthly notification to their student email, reminding them to check their billing statement. We may also contact students via phone or a text message with a courteous reminder about the upcoming payment deadline for the most recent billing cycle.

A Balance Due Hold is placed on the student’s account if the balance owed is considered delinquent. The hold will not allow students to register until the balance is paid below $2000. Students enrolled in a payment plan are still required to have a balance of $2000 or less to register.听 Please select the Priority Registration plan in order to ensure your balance is at or below that threshold by the time Priority Registration opens.

To resolve the Balance Due Hold on your account you must pay your account down to $2000.00, stated in our Bursar Holds section on the Financial Literacy page.

NOTE: Due to COVID-19, the Balance Due Hold threshold has been temporarily increased to $2000.00 starting with the Spring 2020 semester.听

Full payment of tuition and fees is due by the payment deadline, however, you may also choose to make enroll in a Payment Plan听through your student payment portal (Cashnet).

If you do not pay in full by the payment deadline, you may be subject to monthly service charges (4% initial service charge, and 1.5% every month thereafter, until paid in full – see more information on our听Important Dates guide). Enrolling in a Payment Plan will help you avoid the first 4% service charge. Students with balances of more than $2000 will not be able to register for future semesters until their balance is paid to $2000 or less.

Please refer to the听Financial Literacy听page for the current payment deadline date. Students who pay their balance in full by the payment deadline are听not going to receive service charges as long as there are no changes to registration after the fact.

YOU ARE RESPONSIBLE FOR DROPPING YOUR CLASSES IF YOU DO NOT ATTEND THEM. CHOOSING NOT TO ATTEND A CLASS DOES NOT MEAN THAT YOU WILL BE AUTOMATICALLY DROPPED FROM THAT CLASS. YOU MUST OFFICIALLY DROP YOUR CLASSES THROUGH YOUR STUDENT HUB, OR YOU WILL BE ASSESSED FULL TUITION AND FEES.

If you have a direct deposit set up on your student account, you will receive your refund within 24 – 48 hours (may take longer during weekends). If you are not yet enrolled in Direct Deposit, please follow the instructions on Cashier’s听Policies and Forms听飞别产-辫补驳别.

Checks are no longer issued from听The Office of the Cashier. Checks will be mailed the week before classes start according to the Financial Aid disbursement schedule. After classes start, checks will only be mailed once per week on Thursday.

Please make sure that your address is updated and current with theto ensure that your check is mailed to the correct address.

All of the fees charged on your billing statement are mandatory. Please refer to the Tuition Tables on the听Tuition and Fees听page. Here you will find an explanation of all of the fees and what they are used for.

For information regarding the College Opportunity Fund Stipend (COF), please visit the听 COF web page. You will be able to find information about the application process, as well as how to authorize your stipend.

海角社区 only requires you to pay for tuition and fees by the payment deadline to avoid service charges. While you are working to receive your COF, you can omit the State Tuition portion (COF), and pay the rest of your balance by the payment deadline to avoid service charges. If you need help figuring out what is due, feel free to call the Bursar’s office for the current balance.

Have you run out of COF hours?听If you听exceed the 145 credit hour limit,听you may file a听听with our Registrar’s Office.

海角社区 only requires you to pay for tuition and fees by the payment deadline to avoid service charges. While you are working on your Health Insurance Waiver, you can omit the charge, and pay the rest of your balance by the payment deadline to avoid service charges. If you need help figuring out what is due, feel free to call our office for the current balance.

Once a delinquent account is sent to collections, your account at 海角社区 will be placed on a Collection Hold (CO Hold). You will no longer be able to pay or set up a payment plan with 海角社区 until the balance is resolved through the collection agency.

A collections agency will start contacting you to collect your delinquent balance. An additional collection fee will be added to your account. In addition to that, your delinquent debt may be reported to a credit bureau, affecting your credit score.

海角社区 also partners with the Colorado Department of Revenue and any account in collections (even if on a payment plan with a collections agency) will be subject to a tax refund intercept.

Answer:听海角社区 is offering students a convenient installment payment plan for all eligible students.听For a small enrollment fee of $35.00, the payment plan at 海角社区 will divide your total tuition听and fees听for听a听semester into several听equal听payments.听The payment plan will vary听from a minimum听of听2 months听or more, depending on听when you听enroll.听The earlier you enroll, the more time you will have to pay for your tuition, and the smaller your payments are going to be.听

Answer: No, the enrollment fee is charged for every payment plan you enroll in (typically you will only be allowed to enroll into one payment plan per semester). The fee is听non-refundable, even if you later decide to withdraw or default on the payment plan.听听

Answer: Payment plans will usually be available two months prior to the semester Census Date.听You must enroll by the听closing date听to be eligible for a payment plan.听

Answer: All current students are qualified to enroll in a payment plan online for the current semester听if听they have satisfied听all past due financial obligations. Students who do not qualify to enroll into a payment plan online:听

• Students not currently enrolled (students who owe a previous balance may qualify for Administrative Payment Plan. Please call Office of the Bursar at 303-615-0070 to find out if you are eligible).听
• Students in collections.
• Students who are registered for current听term, but听failed to sign up for a payment plan by the听cutoff (final payment plan enrollment)听date.听
• Students who failed to make payments on a previous payment plan and were withdrawn.

Answer: If you are eligible, follow these steps:听

1. Go to your Student Hub.
2. Click on the “Pay Tuition” tile (log in).听
3. On the left-hand side, click on the 鈥淧ayment Plans鈥� button. 听
4. Click on the 鈥淰iew payment plan options鈥� button (you may need to scroll down a bit to locate it).听听
5. Select your payment plan听option.听
6. Review payment plan details, check the “I Agree” checkbox, and enter your electronic signature. Click “Continue”.
7. Enter your payment information to pay for the $35 enrollment fee and complete enrollment.
   1. Check your student email for payment plan confirmation notice.
8. You may also enroll in “Auto Pay” and/or save your method of payment (Optional).

Answer: Absolutely! You will be encouraged to set up听convenient听automatic payments during the process of enrolling into a payment plan.听If enrolling in an automatic payment plan, payments will be automatically deducted from your designated checking, savings or credit card on the posted due date in accordance with the Auto Pay Authorization that you provide. If you didn’t have a chance to set up automatic payments during the time of enrolling into a payment plan, you will still have a chance to set it up later.听

Answer:听You may withdraw your authorization and cancel deductions for automatic payments at any time by logging into the听student payment portal and听follow these steps:

• Navigate to your current payment plan (you can do so by clicking Payment Plans button on the left side, and selecting your current plan on the page).
• Next to a payment plan title, you will see a menu button. Click on the menu button and select “View auto pay” option.
• Scroll down and select “Cancel auto pay” button
• Confirm your cancellation by selecting “Cancel auto pay” button on the pop-up window.听

Answer:听If any installment payment is not received within 15 calendar days after its due date, you will be assessed a听late fee of $10.00. Please note that declined attempts for credit card or ACH charges or returned checks may result in late fees if the payments are not received by the due date. Fees for insufficient or uncollected funds (returned items or paid items) will be charged in the amount of $25.00. These fees are assessed when you make a payment above what is available in your designated financial account.听

• If your total tuition balance decreased while you were on a payment plan, the payment plan will be adjusted automatically, and your payments are going to be re-distributed based on your reduced balance.听听
• If you make adjustments to your class schedule, or any other changes take place on your student account听resulting in an increase in your total amount due, you may be given the option to enroll in a new tuition payment plan that incorporates payments due under the original payment听plan. You must visit your student payment portal (Cashnet) to consolidate your payments under the new payment plan. If you choose to consolidate, the original plan will be cancelled.听If you choose to continue with the original payment plan, you will still be responsible to pay the balance which wasn鈥檛 included in the payment plan听as stated in the听Financial Responsibility Agreement.

Answer:听You have the right to cancel the听payment plan, without penalty, at any time. If you choose to cancel, all amounts owed to Metropolitan State University of Denver will be due immediately per the published deadlines for the semester. If those deadlines have passed, payment in full is due immediately. Please听contact听the听Office of the听Bursar听for further information on how to cancel听your听plan.听

Yes. 海角社区 provides you the option to charge textbooks, supplies, and other eligible items to your student account. Your bookstore purchase is paid the same way you pay your tuition and fees to the university 鈥� whether you, your family, or employer pays tuition and fees, or if you receive financial aid in the form of loans, grants, and scholarships.

To charge purchases to your student account, you must be registered in courses.

When purchasing at the store, simply present your student ID to the cashier for payment.

When purchasing on the bookstore鈥檚 website, choose 鈥淔inancial Aid鈥� as the payment option and enter your student ID number to search for and select your account.

The amount shown as 鈥淎vailable Credit鈥� on the bookstore鈥檚 website is your current available credit limit at the bookstore and may not reflect your actual financial aid or student account balance.听听

Yes, students may charge up to $750 in eligible purchase to their student account per semester.

海角社区 students can charge their bookstore purchases to their student account between July 13, 2026 and August 5, 2026.

You were not currently registered in classes.听 To charge purchases to your Student Account, you must first be registered in courses.听 Please note that you may only make purchases beginning the day after you register.听 If you register today, you may make purchases beginning tomorrow.

Educational institutions are required to file a听, Tuition Statement, with the IRS and to provide a copy of the form to the student, for each enrolled student for whom there is a reportable transaction. A reportable transaction includes payments received or refunds made for tuition and related expenses.

All forms of Payments towards Qualified Educational Expenses including: loans, grants, scholarships, COF, third party and self-payments, including 529 plans.

Student Loans are treated as a self-payment, much the same way as credit card payments. While they are reported as a payment in Box 1, they will NOT be reported in Box 5 with other forms of financial aid, COF, and third-party payments.

If you have a carry forward for Qualified Educational Expenses from previous calender years, then yes. If on the other hand, the only charges on the account are for Non-Qualified educational Expenses, then no.

Yes, a payment for a future term will appear in the calendar year in which it is paid for. For example, if you pay for Spring 2019 on November 28, 2018, it will appear on your 2018 1098-T as long as there are charges to go against it.

海角社区 is committed to providing quality education at a lower cost. The Tuition Lock guarantees undergraduate students the same cost for tuition for a predetermined time, depending on whether you are a first-time, re-admit, or transfer student. The Tuition Lock started in Fall 2022 (FY22-23).

If you are a new incoming freshman (first-time student without previous college/university enrollment) accepted to 海角社区 for Fall 2025, your Tuition Lock will be guaranteed for four years beginning the semester you were accepted.

If you are a transfer or re-admit student, accepted to 海角社区 for Fall 2025, your Tuition Lock will be guaranteed for two years beginning the semester you were accepted.

To maintain Tuition Lock eligibility, students must enroll in at least 12 credit hours each Fall and Spring semester. If students do not maintain a minimum of 12 credit hours in the Fall and Spring semesters, they will lose their tuition lock and will revert to the current tuition rate. Summer enrollment is encouraged but not required.

You will only be eligible for one Tuition Lock as an undergraduate student. After the Tuition Lock is expired, you will start paying based on the Current Fiscal Year Tuition Rate.

No, the Tuition Lock applies to tuition only! The Mandatory Fees will continue to change with every new fiscal year.

No, the Colorado Legislature sets the specific per credit hour amount for the stipend annually. That amount can be found on the听 and is good for the academic year. The student’s portion of Tuition however is locked. Remember to apply for and the COF stipend to ensure you pay the lowest possible tuition.
