The Department of Facilities at º£½ÇÉçÇø is dedicated to creating and maintaining safe, functional, and inspiring spaces that support student success and academic excellence. Our team oversees a wide range of services across University-managed buildings and works to ensure that all facilities meet the evolving needs of our students, faculty, and staff.

Auraria is a unique shared campus that serves three institutions—Metropolitan State University of Denver, University of Colorado Denver, and Community College of Denver. With over 150 acres of shared space, clearly defined responsibilities are essential to ensuring efficient, professional support for students, faculty, and staff.

º£½ÇÉçÇø’s Department of Facilities is responsible for maintaining and supporting the following University-managed buildings:

• Aerospace and Engineering Sciences Building (AES) – 1449 Seventh Street
• Student Success Building (SSB) – 890 Auraria Parkway
• Hospitality Learning Center (HLC) – 1190 Auraria Parkway
• Regency Athletic Complex (RAC) – 1600 W. Colfax Avenue
• 800 Kalamath Street
• Center for Visual Arts (CVA) – 956 Santa Fe Drive

Many shared campus buildings, including the Auraria Library, Tivoli Student Union, King Center, Arts, Plaza, and Central and West Classroom buildings, are managed by the Auraria Campus Facilities team. Auraria oversees shared infrastructure, grounds, and multi-institutional spaces, working closely with º£½ÇÉçÇø to coordinate services and ensure a seamless campus experience.

º£½ÇÉçÇø Department of Facilities is comprised of two core divisions:

• Operations & Maintenance – handling daily building needs such as repairs, HVAC, custodial services, and event support
• Planning, Design & Construction – managing renovations, new construction, and long-term infrastructure improvements

Together, we work to ensure º£½ÇÉçÇø’s physical spaces are safe, efficient, and built to support learning and growth.
